I used to find OA those people who turn their eyes away or cover their eyes like children when they see porn. Now, I'm one of them. I don't like to look at naked men the same way I now find it wrong should my husband look at naked women (on tv). I see it as being faithful to my vows to my husband and I feel only the man I married and love deserves to be seen by me. And I find it strange that people would object to their spouses seeing naked people in real life but ok to seeing them on tv.

Hi Joy, you know I'm grateful to Achi Betty for this. She shared with me information about the interview with Ted Bundy. Before then, I had been conditioned to think that pornography is ok. I used to think pornography was just something people used to spice up their marriage. There was one reader's comment that really struck home with me. It said something like where else in the world can you find blatant prostitution and yet people have been deceived to believe it's art/just filming. I realized how true! No actress would take off their clothes or be in intimate scenes with a fellow actor they barely know, if they weren't being paid for it. Even the biggest highest paid stars. They expose themselves or kiss co-actors, because they're being paid. It's not art at all. It's prostitution.

Wow, that article was long but so worth the read. I agree with you. It is sad and scary to live in the era we are in now. And unless we, parents, are not careful to monitor our children, they will definitely fall into this trap. Because God's original design of sex have been twisted by the enemy, many are deceived. And most of the time, those who have addiction to it eventually commit sexual acts that devalue another person.

I'm quite bothered as a mom also since God has been making me aware about child molestation through documentaries and other people's testimonies. My husband and I just watched "The Perks of a Wallflower" and we were disturbed how being molested as a child by someone close to them is not unusual. And this is just one of the many consequences of being enslaved by pornography. So now, even if you don't want to think of your family and relatives differently, unless they are also committed followers of Jesus Christ you can't help but be more protective of your children.

Hay. I thank God because He is Elohim Shomri (God is my Protector). And we can trust in Him to protect our little ones.
