Butterflies in My Stomach

Recital time for my older boys is always a character-building occasion. They have to practice and prepare very well and they have to overcome their stage fears. And afterwards they experience the reward of hard work, persistence and commitment.

As I watched my boys play their violins, I was a beaming mom. I couldn’t help it. They gave their best and I know they had nothing to be ashamed about when they played. They did great!

Before their recital I asked to pray with them. Elijah had said earlier in the afternoon that he had butterflies in his stomach, so we huddled together to petition God for his favor and hand of blessing. He answered it! Thank you, God!
